It rained the whole way, really messing up Mom's pictures. We went from a very unusual brown interstate road to a narrow road along Flathead a Lake, they claim the largest lake west of the Mississippi, but not sure how Minnesota and Michigan figure into that??
We arrived in the pouring rain and all Mom could think of was our dirty paws in the rain, so she upgraded to a patio, woohoo!
Mom and Dad soon left Cinder and me to take a snooze while they left for Glacier National Park!
The weather wasn't great to start, but who let's a little rain and fog get in the way of a good time!
The park is known for the Going to the Sun road which is not yet completely open due to snow removal.
Soon Mom and Dad found Saint Mary's River, a very swift running River that runs through the park.
Some nice folks took their picture, I like seeing Mom and Dad so happy!!

They drove as far as the road was open, up to Avalanche Gorge. From there they had the option of a 1 mile walk on a flat boardwalk or a 4 mile rough terrain hike to Avalanche a Lake that took them up and down 500 ft...they chose both, silly parents!
So the hike got pretty strenuous and Mom and Dad just knew it had to be longer and rougher than advertised. Everybody they ran into said it was worth it, so they trudged on...and it was!

Still looking for the sun
